This workshop is designed to deconstruct the "48" experience, moving beyond the ticking clock to show you how to build a high-functioning creative team and apply high-pressure production skills to your professional career.

  • Workflow Strategy: Pro tips on managing time, from writing the script on Friday night to the final render on Sunday afternoon.

  • Beyond the Competition: How the intense collaboration and fast-paced problem-solving of the 48HFP translate into valuable skills for commercial and indie film sets.

Hosted at Elijah’s Restaurant, this event combines a professional and educational deep-dive with fellow professionals from the San Diego media community.

    Our Presenters

    Chrissy Raven Kilna
    City Producer
    Chrissy Raven Kilna plays a vital role in the San Diego 48 Hour Film Project as City Co-Producer and community coordinator. Her charm and organizational skills help create a welcoming environment for all participants, from first-time filmmakers to seasoned veterans.
    Chrissy brings her background in community engagement, filmmaking, and event coordination to ensure that every filmmaker feels supported throughout the competition weekend and screenings. She’s passionate about building connections within the San Diego film community and helping new talent discover their potential in the fast-paced world of 48-hour filmmaking.

    Kilna, Anthony
    City Producer
    Anthony Kilna (he prefers to be addressed by his last name) is the City Co-Producer and lead technologist for the San Diego 48 Hour Film Project, bringing his passion for filmmaking, technology, and community building to create an unforgettable experience for local filmmakers. With a background in tech infrastructure, development, and project management, Kilna ensures that every aspect of the competition runs smoothly, from onboarding to the final screenings.
    Anthony’s vision is to foster a vibrant filmmaking community in San Diego where creativity thrives under pressure and lasting connections are formed.
