Wireless Lighting: An Introduction to DMX/CRMX
Presented by San Diego Film Equipment
Join Trevor Elliott, co-owner of San Diego Film Equipment, for an engaging introduction to wireless lighting control designed for filmmakers, gaffers, and content creators at every level.
This workshop starts with the basics of DMX and CRMX and builds toward a fully wireless lighting setup. You’ll learn how to:
-
Connect and control lights through Blackout, the intuitive lighting control app
-
Create looks ranging from simple washes to advanced cinematic effects
-
Adjust an entire scene directly from an iPad
-
Use wireless tools to save time, reduce clutter, and stay flexible on set
San Diego Film Equipment will demonstrate how wireless lighting can transform a small scene in real time—showing just how quickly and easily you can shape color, intensity, and effects to achieve professional results.
Whether you’re brand new to lighting or looking to add wireless control to your workflow, this hands-on session will give you the tools and confidence to bring your vision to life.
