MEET OUR MENTORS

Meet Our MentoJohn Lambert started his career as a cinematographer and visual effects artist. He worked on award-winning commercials such as Ridley Scott’s “Apple 1984” and Chanel perfume and on music videos for Queen, Madonna, Missing Persons, and Gary Neumann. In addition, Lambert has worked on blockbuster films such as “Star Trek: The Motion Picture,” “Ghostbusters,” “2010: The Year We Make Contact,” “Fright Night,” “Poltergeist 2,” “Cape Fear,” and “Cool World.”

John’s talents and experience quickly propelled him to become an executive partner and CEO for several leading production, post-production, and visual effects studios in Hollywood and Canada.

As a studio producer and international co-producer, John manages the development, production, and post-production for network television movies and theatrical feature films. His most recent feature animated production, “The First Super Hero,” will be released in the spring of 2025. His company, GravityLabs, is currently producing a series of IMAX, large-screen format, hybrid live-action CGI musical-themed productions.

John is a native of San Diego. After college, he moved to Hollywood in 1978. In 2022, he relocated his primary production operation from Hollywood and Vancouver, BC, Canada, back to his roots in San Diego.

Lauren Fehlhaber has a gift for crafting visually appealing environments through design. In 2017, she came up with a unique concept that merges a co-working space with a video and audio production studio to support a community of creative professionals, and two years later, she  successfully launched this innovative concept known as The Film Hub

Before starting the corporation, Lauren was involved in producing and designing sets and backgrounds for TV commercials and advertising agencies since 2010.

Paul Giret, a filmmaker born and raised in San Diego, has been creating art through video for more than 25 years. With 100+ film credits and his work in founding several creative institutions in Southern California, Paul has been working to foster a community centered around the craft.

He has worked with a number of high-profile talent including OK GO, Switchfoot, Weezer, Ashton Kutcher and Dean Cain. In addition, he has supervised projects for companies like Apple Inc., Nat Geo, Suzuki and GoPro, and has led multiple panels at San Diego Comic-Con on filmmaking.

While his passion is editing films, Paul is a cinematographer and enjoys directing for the opportunity it creates to lead a team and pour into others while steering the creative ship. His most recent projects are focused on growing a community of creators and filmmakers around the faith and family film space in San Diego.

Paul brings a unique blend of science and creativity to the art world. He aspires to see San Diego become a hub for filmmaking using local crew talent.
