Webcasting, it’s all the rage with the cool kids. But what does it take to create a successful web show? How do you produce on a microbudget? How do you host and deliver your video? And most importantly how do you monetize your show? This month we’ll be looking at these questions and more as we talk with two successful web show producers.

Learn some of the ins and outs of producing a web show with two successful web producers. First is Raeann Giles, producer of “Stay at Home Mom.”

Raeann is an award-winning actor/writer/producer and a graduate of UCLA's MFA school of Theater, Film and Television in Screenwriting (2017). "Stay At Home Mom” is an award-winning digital series which she created, produced, and starred in which received over twenty nominations and wins screening in festivals around the world including Vancouver Web Fest, Miami Web Fest, LA WebFest and Rome Web Awards.

The series was picked up by Comedy Dynamics Network and slated for release Fall 2017.

At UCLA, Raeann has been a two-time finalist for the Sloan Screenwriting Fellowship, in 2017 for her comedy feature "Designer Kids" and in 2016 for her comedy feature "Fluke." She was also the recipient of the 2016 Felicia D. Henderson Screenwriting Scholarship and the Havas 18-LA 2017 Production Award. Raeann is also an alumni of UCLA's Professional Program in Screenwriting, Professional Program in TV Writing, and Professional Program for Acting. Before her career in entertainment, Raeann was a law school graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology and Neuroscience Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

When Raeann is not working she is most likely changing a diaper, breastfeeding, stepping on Lego or cuddling with her three kids enduring yet another episode of Caillou. She also enjoys chauffeuring in mini vans, eating left over macaroni and cheese, but not quite as much as she loves listening to Frozen’s “Let It Go” on repeat. Her motto is “Life’s short, do it all!”

We’ll also be speaking with producer Tom Keliinoi who works as a producer on the show “What’s on Draft.”

Originally from San Diego, Tom earned his Bachelor's in Film from CSU Fullerton & subsequently moved to Los Angeles to work on a multitude of different shows for major networks. In 2014, Tom returned to his hometown of San Diego to develop and produce a series entitled "What's On Draft?" which will be syndicated in late 2017 on the new network DrnkTV. He also worked as a commercial brewer for 18 months at Acoustic Ales while developing the series, before leaving to work full-time on the show.
