July 2017 - Motion Graphics and using Photoshop in Your Production

At the July meeting, we looked at industry-leading motion graphics applications. 

We started with a look at graphic design that can be animated in After Effects with David Hughes, owner of Carrot Top Studios. David’s client list includes the National Football League, Harley Davidson Motorcycles, and Cox Communications just to name a few.

Robin Martin showed us some techniques for creating lower thirds in Apple Motion that can easily be brought into FCP X. Robin is one of the founders of the local Final Cut Pro User Group and has been using the Apple Pro Apps suite of tools to take the work he does at Mission Federal Credit Union to a new level.

Jeff Troeber shared some screen capture applications, and some tips and tricks to turn that screen capture into interesting video. Jeff works at Seismic Software, translating technical information into video, written, and graphical content that customers will actually use.
