Professional Bio
Paul Giret, a Filmmaker born and raised in San Diego, has been creating art through video for over 25 years. With more than 100 film credits to his name as well as founding several creative institutions in the Southern California area, Paul has been working diligently to foster community centered around the craft. He has had OK GO, Switchfoot, Weezer, Ashton Kutcher, and Dean Cain in front of his camera, supervised projects for companies like Apple Inc., Nat Geo, Suzuki, and GoPro, and has led multiple panels at San Diego Comic Con on filmmaking. Paul brings a unique blend of science and creativity to the art
world and tends to maximize the potential of everybody he works with.
While his passion is editing films, Paul is a cinematographer and enjoys directing for the opportunity it creates to lead a team and pour into others while steering the creative ship. His most recent projects are focused on growing a community of other creators / filmmakers around the faith / family film space in San Diego. Paul aspires to see San Diego become a hub for filmmaking and believes in raising up local talent to achieve it.
