President: Jane HareJane is an award-winning filmmaker and professional media producer, director and writer. From breakthrough shows at MTV and PBS to Fortune 100 clients such as Target, Macy’s, 3M, and Mayo Clinic, she believes production is a solid mix of creativity and project management. Her first documentary about Jacqueline Kennedy was created with CBS News and The Field Museum. She has worked on 15 films including feature THE SAMUEL PROJECT, shot in San Diego, and shorts THE FORGOTTEN PLACE, IN THE DEATHROOM, and CHERRY LEMONADE, which screened at Tribeca. Her other loves: rom-com screenplays, needle drop music, coconut cake, and her rescue pups. Vice President: Robin MartinRobin is a filmmaker and educator who is passionate about visual storytelling and using technology in the service of art and learning. He has 15 years of experience in various facets of video production and editing: from web and social media promos, to corporate training and higher education, and editing films. As Manager of the Multimedia Services department at UC San Diego, he leads a large video production team that partners with faculty and departments to create instructional content for courses and promote academic research and institutions on campus. He is also a husband and father of two school age kids, and enjoys hiking, trail running and mountain biking when he needs a break from the edit suite and an escape into the great outdoors. CFO: Bob UngerBob is a retired engineer that has been working with film and video for over fifty years. In his formal career, he helped develop technologies such computer graphics, operating systems, networking, video conferencing, and high-definition television. He has used his talents to support community theater productions with both props and flying rigs. Bob stays mostly behind the camera but for over a decade he was part of a group of Toastmasters teaching media skills to Charger cheerleaders. He primarily likes shooting and editing but also enjoys being on set as second AC or driving his Tesla in a scene. He has also been the producer of a few 48 Hour Film projects in addition to a long-time involvement with San Diego Filmmakers. His most recent project was editor for the series Promiseland now showing on Amazon Prime. Secretary/Webmaster: Jeff TroeberJeff started out in broadcasting as an award-winning journalist. Wanting a decent paycheck and not to work holidays, Jeff moved into high tech as a technical writer and video producer, joining his passion for multimedia and writing with a love of engineering. Jeff has worked in small startups, and large, market leaders. Jeff is currently a Sr. Video Producer at Seismic Software. There, he also uses his radio background as “The Voice of Seismic,” doing voiceovers for corporate and educational videos. Jeff also enjoys creating promotional videos for non-profits, and working on films for the 48 Hour Film Project, Four Points Film Competition, and other independent short films. He also served as an editor and graphics supervisor for the feature length documentary, Suds County USA. Marketing: Dan CheathamDan Cheatham II balances time between his career in acting and filmmaking and his business life in marketing and executive management. He has written, directed and consulted for theatrical plays, television and film in Europe and the US. Dan has specialty acting expertise in stunt, swordsmanship, martial arts and professional jousting in historical and modern day settings. He is a founder of Southern California Stunt Crew - Team Clutch and is a California certified armorer and NRA firearms trainer. He performs multilingual acting and voiceover work and you’ll also find him on set as a First AD and COVID supervisor. News: Mark MaisonneuveMark Maisonneuve is a longtime production professional with over 35 years of award-winning work in the corporate, commercial and live event arenas. His passion for telling great stories is evident in his work, be it interviewing the C-suite of a Fortune 500 company in Australia, shooting logging operations for the US Forest Service in Idaho, chasing down shots of an outrigger canoe race in Singapore, or directing training videos for peace officers in California. No matter the project, it’s the story that matters. His other passions include doting on his wife and their three kids (and now a grandson!) hiking the backcountry of San Diego county, and rooting for his beloved Purdue Boilermakers. Michael was born in Colorado, grew up in Louisiana, and for the last 12 years has been producing strategic visuals in California. Social Media: open VolunteersKevin MartyKevin is a retired Navy Nurse with a Masters in Education Technology from San Diego State University. He enjoys all aspects of video production and strives to learn more with each project. He also works part time at ThermoFisher Scientific creating online educational content. Kevin is a member of PACE-TV which is Public Access Cablevision by Elders (PACE). PACE-TV is the longest running public access television program in the United States who produce and present shows of topical interest to the San Diego community. |
